Not at all. Most people feel unsure at first — that’s completely normal. We don’t start with poses. We start with a conversation. Once we’ve discussed who you are and how you want to come across, I’ll gently guide you so everything feels natural and unforced.

Where do the sessions take place?
We can photograph you in and around Folkestone, Kent — anywhere that feels like “you.” That might be a favourite neighbourhood spot, a nature walk, a café, a local pub or somewhere with personal meaning. If you’d rather keep things private and controlled, I also offer sessions in my Folkestone studio.

What should I wear?
Choose clothes that feel like you and fit comfortably. Simple, well-fitting pieces tend to work best. The goal isn’t to dress as someone else — it’s to feel coherent and comfortable in your own skin. If you’d like advice beforehand, I’m happy to help.

I feel awkward being photographed. Is that a problem?
Not at all. Many people worry they’ll be judged or objectified. My role is to remove that pressure. The session is collaborative — you’re involved, we review images together, and you stay in control of how you’re represented.

Will the photos look staged?
No. The aim is warmth and approachability, not performance. You’ll receive direction, but nothing exaggerated. The final images should reflect how you already show up in the world.

How much editing do you do?
Editing is light and respectful. Small refinements only. You’ll still look like yourself — just clear, confident, and well-presented.

Are these photos only for dating apps?
They’re designed for dating profiles, but many clients also use them for LinkedIn, social media, or personal websites. The purpose is the same — photographs that feel honest and natural.
